I never imagined that the physical, emotional and sexual abuse I experienced as a child would affect me so severely as an adult...

The nightmares, constant hyper-vigilance, body flashbacks, fear of speaking up, and so much more kept me in a constant state of fear and panic for years.

Before I came to study and understand trauma, and all the varying aspects of it that I'll share with you on this site, I had no idea how much it was limiting my life in every way. From my relationships with family, friends and loved ones, to parenting skills, weight gain and loss, confidence, sense of safety, high levels of stress and anxiety, physical illness and so much more. No area of my life was unaffected by my trauma.

If you've gone through any type of trauma in your life, as a child or adult, one time or many times, whether it be verbal, physical or sexual, you too know how deeply it can effect you emotionally and how it can limit your life.

But I'm here to tell you that it can be better! Yes, you may have experienced hopelessness and depression and often felt like giving up. But, there is another way. Your life is not over yet! You can significantly improve the quality of your life and release the trauma that is stuck both in your body and your mind. You deserve to feel safer and more whole, have more choice, and bring freedom back to your life.
